Stephen C. Bigelow, Ph.D.
With over three decades of experience in educational leadership, I’ve dedicated my career to fostering excellence in schools, guiding district-wide innovation, and supporting the growth of educators and students alike. My most recent role was as Superintendent of Bay City Public Schools, where I led the district through over seven transformative years, ensuring that every decision prioritized the best interests of students, educators, and the community.
Now, having retired from my superintendent position in Michigan, I’m exploring new ways to contribute to the broader education ecosystem. Whether I’m consulting on leadership strategies, contributing insights on education trends, or helping administrators better understand their strengths, I’m passionate about driving positive change in a field I’ve always been committed to.
This blog is a place where I can share my thoughts on leadership, education reform, and the evolving landscape of college admissions. It’s also a space to connect with others who are passionate about these topics, while offering guidance to those navigating similar challenges in their own careers.
Welcome to this next chapter in my journey. Let’s build a community that’s curious, reflective, and driven by the pursuit of growth and improvement in education and beyond.
